LSCI Certification Part 2: The Reclaiming Interventions

Prerequisite: Completion of live or online LSCI Certification Part 1: Introduction to Life Space Crisis Intervention.

This three-day course builds on the theories, concepts and skills introduced in Part 1 of the LSCI Certification process. Part 2 provides full certification in the advanced skills of helping kids with chronic patterns of self-defeating behaviors turn their crises into learning opportunities.  Video training supplements and instructor modeling of the process will be used to enhance the learning experience. Through small group activities and realistic role play scenarios, each participant will be given many “hands on” opportunities to practice the skills and intervention strategies of the LSCI process. Observation and feedback from peers and the instructors will occur throughout the training institute. This training is guaranteed to improve your professional skills regardless of your orientation.

Upon completion of Parts 1 and 2, teachers can earn 30 hours for Act 48 credits. The full LSCI Certification program has also been approved for 30 continuing education contact hours for School Psychologists.
