Hello LSCI Trainers,
I hope this message finds each and every one of you healthy, safe, and well!
I’m writing with happy news: please join me in welcoming 4 newly certified Senior Trainers:
Sarah Paradis from Conval School District in New Hampshire (Sarah worked with Eric Mann to become certified)
Ashley Philp & Cara Thompson from the Richland School District in South Carolina (Ashley and Cara worked with Andrea Criste & Bonnie Springer)
Matthew Stolte from Overlake Hospital in Washington State (Matthew worked with Angela Emmett)
We are thrilled to add each of these hard-working, dynamic trainers to our network. Thanks to our Master Trainers for the time you have dedicated to mentoring them.
I’m sure many of you are wondering if our 2020 Trainer Re-Cetification Conference scheduled for this August will go on as scheduled, based on the seriousness of COVID-19 and current travel/gathering restrictions. We are working on that very question and will have answers for you very soon.
I’ve had a few Trainers contact me to propose creative solutions for delivering training remotely–I think it’s wonderful that so many schools and organizations are determined to move ahead with LSCI training. If you have an idea for how to move forward with planned trainings, please let me know.
Please do encourage people to make use of our online training options–the Introduction to LSCI, the Level 2 Refresher training, and The Angry Smile online course. This can also be a great time for creative ways of offering professional development, such as using the 1-hour Review Sessions through virtual staff meetings or catching up on LSCI curricula that you might not have had time previously to review, such as Parenting the Challenging Child or The Angry Smile.
Stay healthy & we’ll be back in touch soon with Conference updates!
