Hello all,
Angela Emmett, a Senior Trainer from Overlake Hospital in Bellevue, WA., just shared with us some updates and photos from the recent LSCI Certification training she, along with Greg Frentzen, Jennifer Lawrence, and Casey Atchinson, offered to 27 professionals. The photos included below show the creative drama activity they developed to help their participants review before the final test. It looked so fun and engaging, that I asked Angie to share with all of you…and she generously agreed. Read on:
The participant groups each are given an interview to create a commercial for (we champion info-mercials) and their job is to sell the product that is the interview. With bigger groups as we had last week we determine other skills/concepts for them to sell such as Breaking the Conflict Cycle because we will have more than 6 groups. It’s always a hit. Teams are asked to highlight student behaviors that are “indicators” of the need for the “product” which is the interview. This really sets up individuals to do well in the differential role plays and final role plays because how the student acts can make or break the ability to identify a pattern in the central issue.

Please be sure to send us photos of your training groups and fun ideas for LSCI learning activities!
