Hello Trainers,
As we (joyfully!) continue to grow our network of amazing Senior Trainers, I am reminded that certain policies and procedures that veterans take for granted are “new news” to those who have joined our network more recently. And because of the massive volume of curriculum-related information that must be passed on during the Senior Trainer certification process, the “administrative” details don’t always carry as much weight (rightfully.)
But in the interests of keeping us all on the same page and making sure that we are working WITH one another rather than competing AGAINST one another, I want to share this long-standing tradition/policy for U.S.-based* Trainers:
If/when you have the opportunity to offer LSCI training to non-NTS employees or to participants/organizations OUTSIDE of your own National Training Site, your Affiliation Agreement specifies that the following rates must be used:
11. I will use the LSCI-Institute fee structure as follows:
• [Non-NTS employees] who attend LSCI trainings at a National Training Site will pay a minimum fee of $495. Trainer may use their discretion in offering scholarships to individual participants of up to $245.
• If I offer LSCI training at an outside organization or school, I will charge a minimum Trainer fee of $750**/day, plus the cost of instructional materials.
While all of us desire to make LSCI training as accessible as possible, we have to be careful that our efforts at affordability do not undercut or undermine fees charged by other Trainers. Please be mindful that whenever you are offering training outside of your National Training Site, both Trainer fees and material fees must be charged.
If you have any questions at all, please do not hesitate to contact me directly. I know that every single one of you has been through a rigorous Trainer certification process that includes both your head and your heart. I am so appreciate of all that you do!

*Rates for trainers outside of the U.S. are set differently, though the spirit of cooperation and collegiality should be consistent among all Trainers.
**The typical daily rate charged by Trainers in the U.S. is $1500/day. Trainers may use their discretion in charging more or less that this average rate, but they may not go lower than $750/day.
